US mail is sorted and processed at CG3. Mail is picked up at the Post Office at 7:30 a.m. and brought back to the mail room for sorting. ALL mail picked up during the day leaves CG3 at 3:30 p.m. and taken to the Post Office.

To help us expedite the mail, please do the following:

  • Address envelopes/parcels with accurate and complete information (don't forget the country on international mailings).
  • Place your program account number  on the envelope under the return address and the name of the person sending the letter.
    • We need this information for charges related to the mail.
    • Most pre-printed labels have a place for all of this information.
    • Letters without this information will be delayed, and possibly opened to determine the account number.
  • All international mail collected will be sent "air mail" unless otherwise requested by sender.
    • For other options (such as international registered) and prices available, please contact the mail room, x1922.
  • Bulk (pre-sorted third class) mailings should be batched and sorted according to USPS regulations.
    • For a written procedure, or general guidance with bulk mailings, contact the mail room, x1922.
  • Logistics Operations is NOT responsible for any personal mail.

Please Note: Logistics Operations receives many phone calls and emails concerning the tracking of personal mail. As an FYI, when the USPS shows a mail piece has been delivered...it has only been delivered to the local sort facility. It usually takes another 3 - 4 days for Logistics personnel to actually receive it. Logistics Operations assumes no liability for any personal mail.
